Just recently I
was contacted by
a gentleman who
had one of my
puppies for 9
years. The
news was not
good. Several
dogs around his
area had died
from suspected
poisoning.
When my friend's
two dogs died he
was distraught,
but had the good
sense to have
them autopsied.
His dogs and
those of his
neighbours had
died from
Lungworm also
known as French
Heart Worm.
The vet told him
this may have
been pre-empted
if the dogs had
been treated
with Advocate
Spot On
Treatment
monthly.
Please, please
be aware that
this potentially
fatal disease is
now increasing
in Ireland, and
the symptoms are
so similar to
parquet
poisoning that
correct
diagnosis and
treatment can be
missed.
This is not an
ad for a flea or
worm treatment,
but a genuine
reason to be
concerned.

exhibitors

in light of
the current
economic
situation.
The event
will go
ahead as
planned on
Saturday
21st
February
2009 at the
National
Show Centre,
Cloghran,
commencing
at 3pm.

recognised
Tibetan and
Oriental
Breeds:

Terrier,
Lhasa Apso,
Tibetan
Spaniel,
Shih Tzu,
Akita Inu,
Chinese
Crested,
Chow Chow,

As part of
this scaling
down there
will be no
meal served
on the day;
